GO Includes Case with Magnet, Croc Lead, Keyring & Instruction Guide

The Makey Makey® GO brings inventing - on the go - to tinkerers, makers, and anyone who wants a fun and exciting way to transform a host of everyday objects, with just the snap of a croc clip, into an internet touchpad! See what you've got to hand - banana, plant, frying pan, pencil line, coin, pet or friend (doesn't work with imaginary friends, which are non-conductive), or anything even a little bit conductive, and use it to send a signal, through the USB Invention Stick to a computer. Just plug, clip and play - no complicated setup, no programming knowledge needed, no software to install and works on both PC and Mac. There are 1000s of possibilities for projects! You can make cardboard smart swords, pinball controllers, pet Skype phones - whatever your imagination can conjure up. The USB Invention Stick is small enough for a keychain, bag or pocket - making it a doddle to take with you, wherever you go. The Makey Makey® GO promises to inspire even more science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) projects than the original, award-winning Makey Makey® – named one of Consumer Reports’ “Best Tech Toys of 2014.”

Inventors Kit

 Inventors Kit

From fruit to coins and even pets, the Makey Makey® kit can turn almost any conductive element into a keyboard or mouse, Plus, it is all completely safe - there is no danger of shocking your cat!

See what works for you - plants, coins, yourself, anything that is wet, most foods, dogs as well as cats, aluminium foil. The list goes on and you can always experiment with more. Check out the video below but prepare to be amazed.

Plug the Makey Makey® into your computer, connect yourself to the earth bar simply by holding an alligator clip, and then touch any of the shiny pads to make it work. You'll see an LED flash every time you touch the board. Now attach one end of the alligator clips to the shiny pads and the other end to almost anything, touch that and the LEDs light up again. Every flashed LED is a key press or mouse command sent to the PC to control your favourite software.

Find music programs or online games and let your imagination run wild by designing a custom controller for them. Try drawing a game controller in pencil, hook up the alligator clips and the drawing IS the controller. The kit comes with 7 alligator clips and 6 connector wires as well as a USB cable. No extra purchases are necessary to get Makey Makey® to work, not even fruit.

For the dedicated inventor you can plug in two or more boards at once and create an orchestra of Makey Makeys! (tested with up to 3, but could work for more). Plus the software is Open Source so you can find it online and modify to it to really experiment. Makey Makey® is compatible with the Arduino development environment (IDE).

  • Arduino compatible
  • Simple USB connection
  • Challenge and expand your imagination
  • Invent ways to experiment and play
  • Almost anything can be used as a keyboard
