HMM Leeb Hardness Meter 170-960 HL (1)

HMM Leeb Hardness Meter 170-960 HL (1)

When a hardness test is carried out by the Sauter HMM Leeb hardness meter, an impact body with a tungsten carbide test tip is propelled by spring force against the surface to be tested, from which it rebounds.

Impact and rebound velocities are measured by the following method: a permanent magnet integrated into the impact body passes through a coil and induces an electric voltage during its travels back and forth. The voltages are proportional to the velocities and are processed and displayed as the hardness value 'L' by the meter.

  • External impact sensor (Type D) included
  • Automatic recognition of the external impact sensor
  • Large, easy to read display with backlight
  • High level of mobility and flexibility
  • Automatic compensation function permits measurement in all directions
  • Internal memory for up to 9 data groups, with up to 9 values per group
  • Mini statistics function: displays the measured result, the average value, the impact direction, date and time
  • Highly accurate, ± 6 HL
  • User profiles for fast change of all settings
  • Conversion to all common hardness scales HRC, HRB, HB, HV, HSD and tensile strength (MPa)
  • Battery powered, 3x AAA
  • Wireless IR printer included for on-site printing
  • Supplied complete with hard carrying case and standard block for calibration
  • Conforms to the Standard ASTM A956-02
  • Sauter type HMM
