Potentiometer substitution?

I want to build the circuit from http://www.eleinmec.com/article.asp?28 figure 2 but I cannot find a 220Kohm potentiometer locally and I didn't want to wait for it to ship. I have a couple 100Kohm two channel potentiometers here.
If I wired the two channels of one of them in series would it result in a 200Kohm pot and if so would that be sufficient?

I'll be breadboarding it prior to solder.
Thanks in advance.
Dan
