timer range

The project I'm contemplating will utilize the 555 monostable circuit as you've depicted on your site, however, I'll be utilizing the variable resistor as you mention later in the page. Pin 3 will be powering a micro relay with a coil rating of 30mA.

My question is this: Assuming proper calculation of R and C via the formula you've listed on the 555 monostable page, will I be able to achieve my needed timer delay range of 20ms to 150ms reliably? Should I be utilizing something different for time delays this small?

Thanks,
Dave

re: timer range

Those short time periods should not be a problem for the 555 circuit.
