Ripple to LDO

1) I just want to know that if a Ripple of 500mV p-p on a voltage of +5V dc is fed to a input of LDO to generate +3.3Vdc. Does this input ripple is also passed through the LDO and avaliable in its output of 3.3 ?.. I think it should not. please if any one has any answer please rely.. I hope Ouptut LDO is always trimmed to 3.3V whatever the input voltage,
2) Is this correct? ripple is nothing but a high speed variation on input voltage ? if you say 500mV(P-P) on +5V means , variation from 4.5V to +5.5V ?? is it
