voltage controlled pwm output ic

Does anyone know of an IC that outputs a duty signal based on an input control voltage?

I can always build the 555 chip circuit if not.

Electronics author R A Penfold used the CMOS 4046 phase locked loop ic in a model railway chuffer project to control the chuff period either manually or with the track voltage. Also in the same book there is a pwm controller using CMOS op amp ics. Book details: Practical Electronic Model Railway Projects ref. BP384 ISBN 0-85934-384-7.
