Transistor configurations wrt Amplifiers.

The most common arrangement of transistors in an amplifier is the push-pull classAB arrangement. This consists of the main power transistors conducting in an alternate fashion arranged to drive the speaker cone in each direction with the input signal. In most amps a dual polarity power supply is used that does not need a coupling capacitor. Also in higher power amps over 20-30watts output the (bipolar)power transistors are paralleled with series current sharing resistors.
