Power Resistor

The main requirement for a Power Resistor is the ability to dissapate electric power as heat. The size is larger and wirewound construction is usually used upto 220 ohms. The resistance wire is wound on ceramic former and can be enclosed in a ceramic >20W,or aluminium >5-10W container, with the space filled with a thermal conductive oxide.
