Help - circuit problem

Need help with project.
Suggestions appreciated!!!

#automatic gate entrance for a house(model), must open when lights of car shine on gate.(fine)
#must close when car passes through.(pressure pad, no prolems)
But; my relay isn't working the pin arrangement is too complex. Any circuits or info please send me!!
