electromagnetic radiation

I have a piece of land in Florida, on which I was considering building a geodesic dome home. It has a high tension power line running directly over it, however. A friend of mine told me that I would be nuts to build a home that close to a power line like this. I started reading some articles about EMR, and this scared me, too. I hate to think I have a useless piece of land here. The geodesic dome is constructed of triangular panels of 7" thick expanded polystyrene foam with a 1" thick skin of concrete and steel mesh. The home would be about 100 feet from the lines which are suspended on large pilons. Is this a health hazard, living so close to high tension power lines? Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. David

Nope

No problem - and if you ground the steel (as code will insist) you will get zero, zilch NADA field inside. This is called a Faraday Cage.

Whatever "evidence" you have seen is still highly speculative and contentious.
