Holding a latching relay in during a brownout.

I have 120volt ac relay wired in series with my surge supressor that controls my computer. It's wired as a latching relay so that if there is a power failure the relay drops out and prevents my monitor from turning back on when power is restored. Many times I come downstairs in the morning and find my monitor is on after a power failure in the night. We seem to get alot of brownouts/blackouts and I would like to wire a capacitor or some device to the relay to stop it from dropping out during momentary brownouts of less than 1 second. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Holding a Latching Relay

In the UK I would use what are known as 'X' or 'Y' class AC mains rated polyproplene capacitors (22n - 47n) to delay the drop out of the mains relay in question. Simply connect across the coil connections as well as an appropiate mains rated Varister (250v-275v)UK,(120v-130v)in your case.
