Buy DNA-RNA Kit (Orbit) - showing the five bases in red, green, blue, grey and white, the sugar rings in black and the phosphate groups in red. Yellow tubes join the sugar and phosphate groups. White pieces show the hydrogen bonding between the bases. The separate pieces can be joined and unjoined allowing you to demonstrate the transcription of RNA. When assembled the height of the model is 50cm (20 inches).

Building the model engages and educates your students at the same time. When built, the model makes an impressive display and teaching resource, being 85cm high and 40cm wide.

The model kit includes a set of wooden plates for suspending the model. The top plate needs to be set on a suitable stand (e.g. a 90cm laboratory stand, not included) or hung from a suitable hook.

Pupils can make up the sub-assemblies : Thymine-Adenine; Cytosine-Guanine, sugar rings and phosphate groups, which are then brought together to make the finished model.

Self-assembly abstract 22-layer (2 turns) model kit of DNA. (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid).

This advanced miniDNA™ model is comprised of colour-coded, abstract-shaped parts, designed to represent the nitrogenous bases, pentagonal sugar and pyramidal phosphate components needed to make a double-helix model of DNA. The 3 hydrogen bonds that connect Cytosine to Guanine and the 2 that connect Thymine to Adenine are represented by the appropriate number of pegs.

The DNA model kit is supplied complete with stand and assembly instructions. It can be displayed on its stand or untwisted into a ladder form, which can be 'unzipped' to demonstrate the process of replication.
